Interrogating the Prisoner

More than you, he loves what lies behind you.

An explanation of the Emperor Jingdi story (original title: The Emperor Seeks Much, I Came Only to Seek You)

I don't know how long I've put off writing this story. My desire to write it was delayed time and again because of the potentially heartbreaking plot.

A year later, I read it over. The general tone of the story is all right, though the pacing still needs work. The historical material and characters could also be better integrated.

The problems are: first, modern elements slipped into the ancient setting and need to be cut. Second, the progression of the relationship feels abrupt in the early stages and needs more transition. Third, the plot and scenery overshadow the story itself.

This is my first work: profound ideas, immature writing.

If I get the chance, I'll revise this book. I want to tell you this story in detail.
