Peaceful Kyoto is anything but peaceful.

There is a demon, the embodiment of the Emperor's darkest desires, who nonetheless dreams of eradicating evil and following the Way of Heaven. There is also a god who has lost its powers and would save all living beings by changing fate against Heaven, even if it means falling into depravity. There is a human rejected by their own kind who is eventually baptized in the Yellow Springs and becomes a demon, committing every kind of evil. And there is a demon born as a beast who lives by a code and protects the land around it.

At either end of the wavering scales lie instinct and emotion, each guiding one's actions. Lost in a chaotic, disordered space-time, a beast's body carries a human heart.

Gods follow the divine path; ghosts follow the ghostly path. And I will follow my own!

P.S.:

Told from the male lead's perspective. Soul transmigration, no System. Plot-focused, no romantic pairing for now. A fanfiction based on the mobile game Onmyoji, with some changes and original settings. It differs from actual history and historical figures. Not a crossover series; Nura Rikuo, the crossover SSR character, will not appear.

As usual, I won't kill characters off without reason. A sweet story focused on friendship and family. No chapters written in advance, updates whenever inspiration strikes.

Updates for Lord Ludwig the Demon King come first; this one depends on my mood. The more you ask, the more I update.
