The Man on the Fridge

Just how unlucky can one person get?

After graduating from the Marxism department of some university, Song Jiu failed to get into grad school or pass the civil service exam. She never even stayed at any job through the end of her internship. While interning in Beijing, she was so broke that she rented a cheap place, only to run into a ghost.

Sir, sitting on top of a refrigerator in northern China during winter, when there's no heating, aren't you cold?

Taoist: I can drive the ghost away for you, but it'll cost thirty thousand.

Song Jiu: Why, thank you. Only a ghost would believe you.

Qiu Sizhe: I don't believe you. Thanks.
