A note: The main pairing is Professor x Li Fu (not a Hogwarts student), and the secondary pairing is Dramione. This story was inspired by a Slytherin-style romance edit of the Professor and Lily, and Draco and Hermione, made by a Bilibili uploader. Similar, yet different. In the usual style of Chinese web novels, two rival houses with generations of enmity can certainly fall in love, overcome their prejudices, and end up together. It makes for plenty of dramatic conflict. It's a familiar trope, but still fun to read. So if you don't like these pairings, consider yourself warned.
The story has two main parts. Part one is the parents' generation, and mostly follows the original plot. The broad strokes stay the same, but some details will change as the story requires: the Professor falls in love with Lily, causes her death, and gets tangled up with the Marauders. Part two is the next generation, when the romance between the Professor and the original female lead officially begins. This is a slow-burn, clean romance, but I'll do my best to add some sweet moments. Since she's an original female lead, making things too steamy would feel disrespectful to the Professor. Flirting is fine, but nothing more.
I'll give a certain amount of polish to every important character, or any character needed for the story. These are childhood memories, after all, and every character is part of those memories. Memories are always beautiful. That's the general idea. If it's not your thing, read at your own risk.
