HP: Happiness Is Having You Nearby

[This is an old, abandoned project from 2008. The author has to make a living, so for now, there’s no way to pick it back up. Old and new readers can check out Book Transmigration: I Became Famous Overnight After My Divorce in the author's column. I hope you'll support the new story. I was still in college when I started writing this, and now my kid is old enough to watch Harry Potter. I still hope that one day I'll finish this story.] In short, this is a coming-of-age story about a little girl named Claire Dursley and a group of boys and girls her age. 1. Please note that this is a "Mary Sue" fanfic, meaning the heroine is a transmigrated, original character. If you don't like that, please read with caution. 2. The author welcomes all feedback. Whether you leave a positive or negative rating, I'll be grateful for any constructive comments. 3. I don't plan to put this story behind a paywall. Updates are so far apart that I don't expect to make any rankings, so readers can enjoy it without paying. I have no objections at all. 4. Romance is still a long way off. The story is mainly about growing up. 5. Because of work, updates will continue to be a source of pain for both you and me... They say finishing abandoned stories is good for building up your karma. This story was born on the surface of the moon in July 2008. Ever since, a certain person who digs holes but never fills them has been on a long journey to repair their infinitely bad karma by finishing this one... Amen. [Cover art by a certain Cai. Many thanks to the wonderful artist. All credit for this story belongs to J.K. Rowling. Any controversy caused by out-of-character portrayals should be blamed on the author, who never sleeps.]
