Naruto: Li Li

Li Li means lush and verdant. The flourishing leaves of Konoha make the Will of Fire shine even more brilliantly.

Could the Seventh Hokage, who grew up through partings and brushes with death, have ever imagined that the rest of his life would be spent buried beneath mountains of paperwork, sitting through endless meetings, and rushing around exhausted with multiple shadow clones...

I guess he did imagine it, yet he still walked this path without hesitation...

So, in the dead of night, as he sits alone working in the Hokage's office, does he ever pause, gaze at the silver moon outside the window, and suddenly see another person's face in his mind...

If life really began again, and his sealed memories were unlocked, would he cherish the words he never said and the feelings he let slip away...

This is my first time starting a story, so the blurb is a bit long. Here are the warnings:

Pairings in this story: Kakashi/Naruto, Shikamaru/Temari, Orochimaru/Sasuke, and others.

There will definitely be out-of-character moments, mainly because my literary skills are too poor to avoid them.

Warning! There's a good chance the story will go off the rails as I write, and there may be no way to fix it.

I'm still revising the outline, so there may be lots of plot holes. No original characters will be added.

The TV series is the main reference. I'll try to keep the timeline close to the original, but when I put together the chronology, I found that many events were off by a year or two, so I'll just improvise. Canon purists, please don't mind; let's just treat it as an alternate universe.

If you can't accept the pairings or out-of-character moments, please leave immediately. My writing is terrible, and this is my first story, so please go easy on me.

It won't update daily for quite a while. Chapter lengths depend on my mood, and I may make corrections and repost without notice, so proceed with caution.
