The Little Charlatan

Blurb One

A week before her eighteenth birthday, Bai Nian'an, who had never believed in ghosts, saw one.

Her charlatan master was delighted and signed her up for a psychic competition reality show.

During the auditions, Bai Nian'an discovered that she couldn't see ghosts anymore.

Bai Nian'an: Great! Eliminate me already!

Yet somehow, she made it all the way to the finals.

The other contestants all said, "Someone who can't even see ghosts made it to the finals? This show has to be rigged!"

Bai Nian'an looked at the competition judge following her around and protested pitifully, "I didn't, I haven't."

The judge, Yan Ran, patted her head. "I know you have real talent."

Bai Nian'an: "...I don't, I really don't QAQ!"

Blurb Two

When Bai Nian'an was going through her chuunibyou phase, she thought she definitely wasn't ordinary.

One day, she would awaken her powers and become a magical girl, saving the world every day while looking beautiful.

And along the way, she'd find a princess-worthy romance in the midst of battle.

That was, until she was forced to take on a master who looked like a complete fraud...

Bai Nian'an: "Heh, guess that dream's over."

Yan Ran stroked her dog's head. "It's okay. You can still go back to sleep."
