Six Records of a Floating Life

When I closed my eyes, I lost the whole world.

When I opened them, I lost you.

Only after turning away did I understand that, when it came to you and the whole world,

perhaps I had never truly possessed either.

Sometimes, when I really think about it,

I'm afraid of losing two women.

One is my mother, and the other is you.

One has been with me throughout my life, and the other warmed all my years.

But time stretches on, and I have never met you again.

That must be fate.
