The Village Beauty Makeover Plan

In the early nineties, wealthy landowner Jia Xiangzhu signed up for a poverty-relief teaching program in Erdaotun. She intended to serve the country's education system, but once she arrived, she began living with Su Xiaoman, the village beauty. Su Xiaoman was gorgeous, but a bona fide country bumpkin. Their values clashed so badly that they were like Mars colliding with Earth.

Another of Jia Xiangzhu's high school classmates, the abstinent top student Fu Lele, became deputy secretary of Erdaotun's village committee. He spent every day in the company of the pretty widow who ran the village general store.

From then on, the four of them worked together to build up Erdaotun. More importantly, they set out to transform Su Xiaoman and help her shed her country ways. A tiny village was a microcosm of society.

This is a period novel, and I've tried to bring together all kinds of strange phenomena from society in the hope of writing something thought-provoking. One-on-one romance, happy ending.
