[Xiliang God of War*Perseverance in Traditional Chinese Medicine|Across the Past and the Present, Highway Articles]
I was heartbroken, bought a plane ticket to the United States, and drove directly into the no-man's land of Nevada.
The car broke down and I picked up an unconscious man covered in blood on the side of the road.
I am a descendant of traditional Chinese medicine and spent several hours debriding and stopping the bleeding.
He woke up when it was getting dark. The first second he opened his eyes, he grabbed my wrist and said in the weird ancient Han Li pronunciation: "Where is this? Where is the old thief Cao Cao?"
Later I found out that his name was Ma Chao and he came from the 16th year of Jian'an.
Cao Cao killed his whole family, and he hated him so much!
So, I knew from the beginning that this man did not belong here, nor would he belong to a woman who opened a Chinese medicine clinic.
But, when has the matter of heartbeat ever been justified?
From that day on, I accompanied him throughout Tibetan Tantra, Nordic runes, and South American shamans.
I didn't say I liked it, and neither did he.
He would just walk on the outside to protect me every time I failed, would hand me a veil when I cried, and would put on my coat late at night.
The day I finally found the method, the formation's light surged, and Ma Chao looked back at me.
That look was so heavy that I rushed in uncontrollably and grabbed his hand: "There are many medicinal materials in the Eastern Han Dynasty, I will go and take a look with you."
He smiled like the first melting spring ice on the Wei River.
However, there was an error in the destination of the crossing.
We fall into Luoyang in the last years of Cao Wei. The Cao family is gone and the Sima family is stepping up its efforts to usurp the throne.
Even so, the hatred in Ma Chao's eyes still burned into flames.
He said that God's will was such that he would not leave any descendants of the Cao family alive.
I stopped in front of him.
I begged and persuaded, and finally asked him hoarsely - what is the difference between you and Cao Cao?
He brushed my hand away.
I said no more, turned around and walked into the formation back to modern times.
The moment it was activated, I saw the city of Luoyang bursting into flames. He stood in the middle of the crowd with a gun in hand, his white robe stained with blood, his back lonely.
He is like a page with creases coming out of a history book, but it will never wait for the gentle healing of time.
After I came back, I spent three days in a daze.
At dusk on the fourth day, the setting sun dyed the street the color of the no-man's land that night, and I walked downstairs by accident.
Across the street stood a man, his face half covered by his hood.
He walked across the street, dragging a long shadow behind him, as if it had been dragged from eighteen hundred years ago to today.
He has lost weight and has green stubble on his chin.
But those eyes that were once filled with hatred are now clean.
"I figured it out. Many things in ancient and modern times are all made up of jokes."
He raised his hand and touched my hair, "But you are never a joke."
I looked at him and suddenly remembered that day in no man's land, he asked me "where is this".
Now I can finally answer him.
This is the human world.
It is the world you are willing to stay in after letting go of everything.
