An entirely fictional Republic of China setting, with no real-life character inspirations. A lighthearted power fantasy, so please don't overthink it! Xi Zhen, the stunning beauty of the 21st-century Chinese exorcist world, was just out catching a ghost when she somehow ended up in the Republic of China. On the surface, she has to face the prospect of becoming her father's superior's eighth concubine. Behind the scenes, a "devoted" and "progressive" male student wants to lead her in eloping, supposedly "for the sake of great love." Xi Zhen presses a hand to her forehead. A father obsessed with climbing the ranks, a meek mother, and a lotus-like concubine trying to take over the household? Don't panic. We'll deal with them one at a time! Once the household is peaceful, Xi Zhen props up her chin, holding a Bagua compass in her hand and thinking that it's time to return to her old line of work! Catch ghosts every day, con people now and then, and flirt with handsome men on the side. Wait, sir, let's talk this over! In short, this is the story of an exorcist who thrives in the Republic of China! Thanks to the wonderful artist @Mu Zi Hua Zhi for the cover!
