An Inuyasha Sesshomaru x Kagome fanfic
Note: A little Sesshomaru x Rin in the early chapters, and lots of original characters.
One day, a hundred years later, purple-blue light suddenly streaked across the peaceful sky over the Western Lands. The demons were startled, and chaos erupted all around.
"Fox-demon big sister, is a great demon coming?" A little kappa popped up from the middle of the water.
"I suppose." The girl resting with her eyes closed on a branch cracked an eyelid and gazed indifferently at the blue light fading on the horizon.
"N-no way," the little kappa stammered in shock. "What kind of demon would dare act so arrogantly on the Western Lands' territory?"
"That's spiritual power."
"Is a priestess coming to seal this land?"
"Yes. A priestess even Sesshomaru can't deal with," the girl said calmly.
The little kappa fell silent, his face turning deathly pale.
In the distance, a silver-haired boy sat astride a huge white dog.
"Hurry back!"
The girl curled her lip. "When the city gates catch fire, even the fish in the moat suffer. Brother Mang, you'd better stay out of this."
"They're already fighting!" the boy said, stomping in frustration and pointing at the sky. "Can't you see? Mother is furious!"
They kept bickering as they walked farther away.
"By the way, little kappa," the girl suddenly turned around, her eyes wide and bloodshot. "Didn't Grandpa Jaken tell you how to tell a fox demon from a dog demon?"
The little kappa's vision went black, and he finally fainted.

If the author is a fan, the genre classification should be "derivative" instead of "original".
