In this life, he had a rival he was utterly at odds with, who was also his childhood friend, though they weren't close: Flag, an A-rank female bug who had miraculously become marshal of the First Legion. Flag was a conservative, while Sean was a reformist. They clashed whenever they met, and everyone in the military knew how terrible their relationship was. Later, in the revolution for gender equality between male and female bugs, Sean and Flag became the leaders of the Reformist Party and the Conservative Party, respectively.
