Icy Jade, Cold Dew

She was a princess of the grasslands and the empress who reigned supreme in the imperial palace. Like brilliant sunlight, she shone over the land of China. She was favored by fate, cherished by the emperor and doted on by the empress dowager, and respected and loved by everyone.

She was the emperor’s ill-starred love, making a ruler of an entire dynasty taste love’s bitterness. She never asked what he wished for, devoting herself to bringing others together, while seeming almost divine herself.

She was only his empress, yet she was also the one he loved most.

But to her, the emperor meant little.

She was calm and gentle, with a mischievous streak, yet seemed forever untouched by romantic love.
