The Movie Star's Girlfriend Is a Palace Maid

In her previous life, Ye Ci was still a nobody whose life was in someone else's hands when it all came to an end. Then one day, she woke up in the bizarre, chaotic, fame-and-fortune-driven entertainment world of the twenty-first century. She clawed her way up from a nobody playing bit parts to become a celebrated actress. She went from struggling alone to having someone by her side. Ye Ci smiled. "At last, my fate is in my own hands, not heaven's. Living like this feels wonderful!" Netizen A: Holy crap! That beauty blogger on Weibo who never shows her face but still has a ton of devoted fans is Ye Ci? Netizen B: WTF? The designer and owner behind that Taobao shop that only sells custom-made, hand-embroidered historical-style clothes is Ye Ci too? Netizen C: No way! The biggest shareholder in the country's largest chain of palace-style health food restaurants is Ye Ci too?!!! Lu Chuan [accusing look]: They all say that being with me is beneath you... Ye Ci [calm look]: Don't listen to their nonsense! Have you forgotten how your fans nearly tore me to shreds back then? Warnings: 1. Palace maid is her status, not her personality. If you expect her to act a certain way just because she's a palace maid, please click the X. 2. The heroine's characterization is wildly inconsistent. She turns meek and timid whenever she sees the male lead, but she's shrewd when building her career and taking down scumbags. The split personality is something else~ Reader's guide: 1. Still a committed one-on-one romance. The entertainment industry is fictional, with no real-life models, so please don't read too much into it or bring real celebrities into the discussion. 2. The golden finger is so powerful it makes no sense. It's a steady rise to success, with a sweet, cozy romance where they dote on each other to the extreme. 3. No nitpicking over historical details, and no personal attacks. 4. No unsolicited writing advice of any kind. Theme: To be added.
