As the richest big spender in the cultivation world, the sect leader of the Broken Floating Sword Sect has three disciples. The eldest is an ordinary mortal, the second is a Dao-Seeking Fruit that has gained sentience, and the third is a girl of unknown race with monstrous strength.
One day, they all have to go to the mortal realm to undergo the so-called severing of worldly ties.
Eldest Senior Brother Chang Yang (Lu Jinlan): Hah, a bunch of fools, wasting their time on things that bring no benefit.
Junior Sister Changle: Not a single worthy opponent!
Second Senior Brother Gu Chang'an: As long as you're happy. (I hope that one day, if someone throws a sack over your heads, you won't drag me into it.)
The eldest senior brother and junior sister, both serious about severing their ties to the mortal world, only discover after arriving there: Why are there stories about the second junior brother/senior brother everywhere?
Gu Chang'an's parents are the leads in a melodramatic love story. His uncle and cousin are following the script of a political intrigue drama where an arranged marriage turns into love, but it was all an act. His maternal grandfather is an incarnation of a great power from the cultivation world... The young master, a Dao-Seeking Fruit that gained sentience, had his Daoist bones utterly destroyed and became an "utterly ordinary" second senior brother.
