During the Lantern Festival, the Flower God Zhelan gets drunk and is "caught in bed with a lover." As luck would have it, the culprit is an old flame from a thousand years ago.
A mishap during the old flame's tribulation turns them into a fluffy little creature. Zhelan has no choice but to keep them close, hide their identity, and help them regain their powers.
And so...
The old flame kicks Zhelan's former fiance and tears apart the rotten love interests flocking over from all across the Four Seas.
In public, they roll around cutely and beg for cuddles with pitiful little whimpers. In private, they slay anyone who stands in their way, be they god or demon.
After turning it all over in their mind, Zhelan realizes the old flame may never have let go.
But whether to take back this old flame is a real question.
