#A battlefield of blood donors
#A vampire heartthrob rises from zero to mayor
As a newborn vampire, I was so broke I slept in internet cafes, so hungry I rummaged through trash cans, and so weak I couldn't even bite through human skin.
To keep from going hungry, I came up with a genius plan: cast a wide net at the volleyball club, reel in as many fish as I could, then pick the best ones. After all, these athletes were strong and healthy, with plenty of blood. One bite could keep me full for days.
The ones I had my eye on:
Mr. Kuroo, the volleyball association staffer who proposed the moment we met;
KODZUKEN, the gaming company director who tried to control every part of my life;
Tsukishima, a clever, devious guy who's a hopeless romantic;
a golden-haired fox with a fishing-line charm who kept trying to have me all to himself;
and the undisputed king of the volleyball world... The last one seems perfect for marriage!
Anyway, I figured that if I cast a wide net, at least one of them would bite, and I'd have a steady meal ticket.
But after I sent out a mass message...
Wait, guys, could you at least turn me down? How come every single one I chatted with agreed to go on a date? How am I supposed to organize this? Cram a few into one room, or book several rooms on the same floor?
After biting every one of them, I was stuffed, but not happy.
Because it seemed like they all wanted to make things serious with me.
No way. Absolutely not!
Sure, sure, I said I loved you over the internet, but even a dog wouldn't believe those online sweet nothings! We only chatted for a few days before hooking up at a love hotel. This is a trashy relationship! You think you're in love with me because the hormones and dopamine that kicked in after a vampire bit you are acting as painkillers!
Later, I ate my words.
I became a master of time management and had more than enough blood.
The only downside was that they couldn't all wait on me at once, or the consequences would be unthinkable.
So...
We watched the movie four times, until I could recite it backward.
I said sweet nothings six times, and all eight phones overheated and crashed.
We ate eight meals... Oh, I could make excuses about how humans can't lose blood too often...
Eventually, I went numb. Juggling everyone was exhausting. Better to flip the table.
"Here's what we'll do: compete for the position. Nobody gets priority for being first."
