Note:

2. All the characters I like from the original will live happy lives, so Gu Yu may be the only tragic character in this story.
3. Gu Yu may not have a pairing. I wrote her to use her eyes and hands to help the original characters live happy lives. I may give her happiness in an extra chapter.
4. The Yunmeng Twin Prides' relationship is friendship. Both their parents will survive and reunite with them (Wei Wuxian will still be an "orphan" for a few years).
5. Xue Yang and Jin Guangyao will be redeemed. Jin Guangyao will not return to his birth family, but will grow up as a disciple of the Lan clan under the name Meng Yao. Jin Zixuan will become head of the Jin clan. Meng Yao's mother, Meng Shi, will survive and be freed from her contract.
6. Lan Wangji's parents will survive, and Lan Wangji's mother will be redeemed.
