You Came from Afar

Ning Zhiyu had known Lin Jingke for many years, but every time she saw him, she had the strange feeling that she didn't really know him at all. She still remembered the first time she met Lin Jingke in court. After watching him turn the dead into the living and black into white with nothing but words, she returned to her law firm and gave up all her civil cases; After facing Lin Jingke in court a second time, she switched from litigation to corporate law; After meeting him for the third time, Ning Zhiyu finally gave up being a lawyer. She quit her job, and Lin Jingke blocked her at her front door. He pressed the household registration booklet into her hands. "I've got a job for you. Great pay, excellent benefits, and a secure position for life. You start today, Mrs. Lin." Ning Zhiyu always said, "I gave up so much for you." Lin Jingke cut straight to the truth. "You didn't give things up. You ran away. Ever since you met me, you've been running away. Fortunately, I'm still young enough to run, and I can run faster than you. "As long as I can catch up with you, that's enough." (Content warning: older woman-younger man romance. The female lead is four years older than the male lead.) Also, I'm not a professional.
