Synopsis 1
Adrian Worthington, New York's newly elected mayor, is widely known as America's sweetheart.
Blond, blue-eyed, and rolling in money, his sweet smile can send the ladies of Fifth Avenue into a frenzy. He champions mutant rights and pushes for a superhero protection act. His devoted fans would gladly buy out every billboard in Times Square.
Adrian, nicknamed the "Rose of Politics," curls his lips into a smile. As Hydra celebrates its apparent victory, he turns his gun on them and switches sides, rescuing a group of superheroes. Facing the Red Skull's disbelief, Adrian slowly squeezes the trigger. His charming voice rings out in the distance, accompanied by the sharp crack of gunfire.
"Next time, remember not to trust a politician, sweetheart."
Synopsis 2
His older brother, "Angel" Warren Worthington, is a major investor in mutant affairs. His grandfather was a member of the Howling Commandos, his upperclassman Benjamin Asher is the current president of the United States, and his classmate Eduardo Saverin is a co-founder of Facebook.
Adrian Worthington, the youngest mayor in New York's history, looks down from the Empire State Building at the traffic crawling along the streets like ants.
Behind him, the Chitauri invading New York impatiently shove Adrian in the back. The blond man raises his hands helplessly and steps over the rooftop railing. The crowd gathered on Fifth Avenue lets out a collective cry when they see their mayor being held hostage. Adrian lifts his eyes and suddenly speaks with conviction.
"Politics demands sacrifice."
There is a commotion at the rooftop entrance. The X-Men and the Avengers have finally arrived.
Adrian watches the Chitauri forces collapse in defeat and slowly curls his lips into a smile.
"Of course, it's other people's sacrifice."
