[Mainly Durarara!!] Ikebukuro, Unusual Days

I met Orihara Izaya in Ikebukuro.

Back then, he hadn't yet become infamous. He looked like nothing more than an ordinary high school brat you'd see anywhere, with his head full of youthful romance.

And yet, at the time, I found myself wanting to get to know him. Looking back, all I can say is that I must have been in my edgy teenage phase and not thinking straight.

As for why I wanted to meet him, it was simply because I'd seen him being chased and beaten by the incredibly strong Shizuo Heiwajima, yet still holding his own.

Shizuo Heiwajima was clearly furious, and the distance between them kept shrinking. But Orihara Izaya still wasn't hurt.

Wasn't that incredibly cool?

I approached that man with that thought in mind, and from the moment I stepped into the abyss, there was no turning back.

I want to try to warm you, to save you from the darkness.
