Regular Version:
Ji Fuyi is the most solitary person in the Pure Yang Palace. He has an odd temper and keeps to himself. One day, someone actually stops him and asks when his close friend will visit again. Ji Fuyi has no close friends.
Where did this friend, who appeared out of nowhere, come from? Why is someone pretending to be his friend? Who does the person in the fallen painting resemble?
A stone seems to have dropped into the calm lake of his heart, stirring ripples. The ice and snow melt, and his Daoist heart is thrown into disorder.
As he gradually digs deeper, he uncovers a connection to someone who died ten years ago. Who am I? What am I? I am an outsider, so why have I been drawn into this game?
He discovers the other person's existence, but why can he no longer find them? What troubling matter was written in the letters and crumpled scraps of paper left behind?
Only when every mystery is finally solved does he realize... that after all the twists and turns, he is just one ordinary person among countless others in the mortal world. Who can help me let go of my obsession? Who can free me from mine?
Literary Version:
Ji Fuyi has no past, no memories of what came before. He does not know, nor does he need to. He is not welcome, nor does he need to be. He is a wondrous creation, the most magnificent stroke in all of heaven and earth. He walks between the worlds of yin and yang, understands their workings, lays the past to rest, and resolves old regrets.
All the splendor of the martial world lies before his eyes. The martial world, all under heaven, clouds drifting, winds gentle. He is lonely, but not alone. If his heart is untouched by miasma, he cannot know the cold.
Until a soul gripped by obsession blurs his memories and drags him into a whirlpool of obsession...
In this vast martial world, who is without an obsession? In all the wide world, how can anyone live in peace without one?
Please Note:
1. This is a Jian Wang 3 fanfic. The protagonist is currently a Daoist priest of the Pure Yang sect, with the added benefits of being a Diviner. You can still enjoy it even if you have never played Jian Wang 3.
2. The story features ghosts and their obsessions, with hints of an underworld, but they do not take up much space. Ghostly obsessions make up a large part of the story. Since this is not a supernatural horror novel, it is not scary. There is no attempt to build suspense by using ghosts to frighten readers.
3. The protagonist is the top, though it does not really matter. The whole story is clean. The love interest is Gu Anfeng, a male character from the Ten Thousand Flowers sect.
4. Not everyone is gay. The story includes straight romances. I will try to label them.
5. It does not follow the Jian Wang 3 plot.
6. Apart from the first story, which is straight romance, and the last story, which has no pairing, the rest are all gay romances.
