Ten years ago, Yun Gui resolutely left her hometown and married far away in the capital, believing it would be a place where she could settle for the rest of her life. But she never expected that ten years later, she would ask to be released from her marriage and, after all the twists and turns, return to where she started. The rain in her hometown still patters softly. The cat at the mouth of the alley has grown so old it no longer recognizes anyone. She stands at the entrance, gazing inside as the rain soaks her clothes. Suddenly, the rain stops. She looks up and sees a man in white holding an umbrella over her. "Long time no see," he says with a smile. A story about returning a pearl to its rightful owner, set in a waterside town. It's not swoon-worthy or exhilarating, but it is very heartwarming. 1. I've been thinking about this story for a long time. I don't know when I'll write it, but I definitely will, and it might jump the queue at any time. 2. It's probably a nostalgic, essay-like historical romance, all in all calm, everyday, and slow-paced, without much drama or any trendy elements. There may be a little heartbreak, but overall it should be very warm. I have a feeling it might be a bit lonely, so I'm posting it early to gather advance readers.
