Bao Jie'er's Road to the Imperial Exams

Also known as The Whole Court Fell for Me After I Disguised Myself as a Man Chu Yuanbao's husband in her previous life was a poor scholar. The wealthy Chu family, merchants with riches to spare, supported the scholar with food, clothing, lodging, and everything else, waiting for him to make a name for himself and pass the imperial exams with top honors. Who could have known that after the scholar passed the exams and became the top candidate, he would suddenly turn against them and bring about the deaths of the entire Chu family? Chu Yuanbao was reborn, returning to the days before she ever met the scholar. She heard he wanted to become the top candidate? That he even wanted to be Grand Secretary? Sorry, but she'll be taking the top candidate spot for her year, and the Grand Secretary's position too. As for the scholar, he can go back to wherever he came from and stay there. A group of colleagues: "We're doomed! Why is this kid Chu Yuan so fair and soft-skinned? Am I going to fall for a man?!" This is just a draft blurb. I'll fill it out later. Theme: Of all pursuits, studying is the greatest.
