Waiting for the Cuckoo Beneath the Moon takes its title from Xu Zhimo's poem of the same name. 2. The story focuses more on the plot and involves the Republican era and the European theater of World War II, with many historical figures. I consulted many sources, but this isn't a documentary, just a short work with some fictionalized elements. Please kindly point out any major historical inaccuracies. 3. Both protagonists are fictional, and Suihua is the gong.
