The story is complete. The next book is "The Powerful Minister Calls the Shots."
Lan Ying was born the legitimate daughter of a prestigious scholarly family, yet willingly married Li the Butcher, who slaughtered pigs and sold meat.
On their wedding day, all of Meicheng County was thrown into an uproar. Men and women, young and old, crowded into the streets to get a look. Everyone assumed the bride must be ugly and the groom fat and cruel. But to their surprise, he was handsome and she was beautiful: a perfect match, like Pan An and Xie Daoyun!
The crowd was astonished, but an old scholar on the street corner only sighed. "A virtuous lady paired with a butcher, like using a pig-slaughtering knife to turn the pages of a book. The world has truly fallen into decline, and all refinement has been swept away!"
Ten years later, Li the Butcher was made a general and enfeoffed as a marquis. His wife and children shared in his honors, and he had truly achieved success and fame throughout the land.
The old scholar counted on his fingers and said, "The world is about to change!"
A fierce butcher VS a delicate, fragile young wife (only on the outside)
Reader's Guide:
This is a slow-burn story. Chapters 1-20, the first volume, tell of a previous life. It's not sweet, and the pacing is subdued.

"The Powerful Minister Calls the Shots"
Liu Feifei saves a man.
The man's name is Zhao Sheng. He has a cold, heartless face and a prestigious status, yet he has no gratitude at all. Liu Feifei risked her life to save him, but he personally destroyed a wonderful match for her and wasted the best years of her youth.
Three years later, Liu Feifei is the most beautiful woman in Wu. As the legitimate daughter of the Liu family, her name is famous, and countless men hope to marry her.
Just as Liu Feifei is enthusiastically searching for a husband she likes, that damned Zhao Sheng shows up again.
By then, Zhao Sheng is the Grand Secretary, with power that can blot out the sky. Everyone says he is ruthless and even dares to kill members of the imperial family. He's practically King Yama reincarnated, and no one dares go near him.
But Liu Feifei can't escape him, and keeps falling into his hands time and again.
Whenever she takes a fancy to a potential husband, that fiend Zhao Sheng mercilessly ruins the match, one after another.
Furious, Liu Feifei scolds him: "Zhao, your conscience is rotten to the core. All you do is ruin other people's marriages. I'll bet you never get a wife in your whole life!"
Zhao Sheng gives her a meaningful look, his palm slowly stroking the gleaming edge of his sword.
"And what would Miss Liu like to wager?"
One night, amid a torrential downpour, Zhao Sheng arrives in drenched black robes, a blood-soaked sword in his hand. He slays anyone who stands in his way, whether they be gods or Buddhas, and rescues Liu Feifei from that den of wolves and tigers. The disheveled beauty had nearly been framed. She was pale with fear and shivering from the cold, like a little stray cat with no home to return to.
Her delicate, lovely, pitiful appearance would make anyone ache to protect her. No man who saw her could possibly remain unmoved.
But this man only wears a cold expression, speaking with biting sarcasm and careless flirtation.
"Liu Feifei, since you're so good at tempting men, why not try your charms on me?"
After two lives, Zhao Sheng has secretly loved her for a long time, but Liu Feifei remains completely unaware.
He clearly wants to marry her, but she always thinks he's trying to harm her and guards against him more and more. The beauty is right before his eyes, yet he can see her but never touch her...
His desire burns fiercely, and someone even advises him: "You have to eat one bite at a time. There's no need to be this impatient."
Her previous life remains a mystery for now
Reader's Guide:
1. Both leads are reborn. The male lead is obsessive, cold, arrogant, and ruthless. The female lead is beautiful and kindhearted, has a temper, and likes to play little tricks.
2. I'm building up a stockpile of chapters, and the story will start during the National Day holiday. Please add it to your reading list! This humble author really, really needs your support!
Theme: An ordinary, down-to-earth life after being reborn, and cherishing every day.
Everything I watched was good at first, but the interaction between the second male lead and the female lead confused me. If they want to be together, just do it together. The way they are disconnected is really not worth it for the male protagonist.
I feel like the heroine is so stupid
In fact, the strange thing is that Zheng Wan was willing to sacrifice his life for love in his previous life, but in this life he looked away, and the turning point was abrupt. Personally, I think that for the heroine, the word "parents" has the same meaning. One is ruthless and the other is indecisive. It doesn't matter whether the main culprit or the accomplice is the bystander. Why should the heroine be divided into three levels?
I think Mr. Chen's attitude is very mysterious, and why he married his cousin (could it be because my cousin's family didn't want their daughter to choose, so they got married quickly?)
Zhen Wanning has never been lucky in her entire life.
The most annoying thing is that the title, introduction and the distant future of the book are full of helpless fates and power struggles.
The heroine's father treated her like this in her previous life. She still thinks her father is good?! There is something wrong with the heroine's brain... Any normal mother will not tolerate her husband treating her children badly, and she is not willing to do this to her biological daughter. The heroine's father doesn't love the heroine much either.
So only the female protagonist is reborn as the male protagonist?
I read these chapters, why don't I understand them? What are they talking about?
At first, I was really looking forward to the rough guy and the cute girl, so I followed it. But every time I see the clips between the female lead and the male lead, it's a bit hard to explain...
