There's a Secret You Don't Know

When we were young, you were the only joy in my heart.

I hoped you would find out, yet felt too shy for you to know about my little feelings for you.

I was so anxious I could hardly bear it,

afraid you knew, yet pretending you didn't.

The secret crush of youth was like a pothos plant tucked in a corner,

watching over happiness from the shadows.

Gradually, it seemed the tender feelings in my heart faded away with youth, carried off by the wind.

On the road of life, we will always meet someone else. Are you my future?

A story about youth and growing up.
