I Won't Live Past Today

The year Si Lan first met Xiao Yue, he was seven and she was five. That year, on his first day at the Imperial Academy, he watched a five-year-old little girl throw a ten-year-old chubby boy to the ground with a shoulder throw. Sixth Prince Si Lan was thoroughly shocked. But an even bigger shock was yet to come. His father issued an imperial decree: “The young lady of General Xiao’s household is fair, sweet, and adorable. We hereby grant her in marriage to the Sixth Prince!” Si Lan’s inner thoughts: I have a feeling I won’t live to see tomorrow!! And yet... This is what daily life looks like: The little girl runs to the Sixth Prince’s bedroom every day, calling him Brother Lan in her soft, sweet voice. When they grow up... Si Lan inherits the throne and keeps up a stern facade every day. Xiao Yue becomes a tomboy who rolls up her sleeves at the slightest disagreement. An emperor with a running inner monologue vs. a short-tempered general’s daughter A note from the author: The first five chapters are around a thousand characters each. It’s a slow burn.
