I'm a new author, Rushi Si Jin. This is my first time posting on Jinjiang, so please go easy on me. I posted this story on the Jiu Ci forum before. It's set in a modern alternate universe, in a school, and told through forum posts.
First, a little about my situation. My high school sophomore year final exams are over, and I've naturally become what everyone calls a senior. As everyone knows, senior year is a gateway to the afterlife: make it through and you become immortal; get stuck in there, well... it's not really a big deal. Senior year is important, but it's not your whole life. It's just a crossroads.
Actually, none of that matters. What matters is that my twelve years as a student are coming to an end. Sure, university students still have campus life, but some things will never happen again. There will never again be a class of sixty or seventy students sitting together in a tiny classroom from 6:30 in the morning until 10:30 at night. There will never again be clueless boys and girls developing secret crushes in some corner of the school. There will never again be class representatives running back and forth to the teachers' office. There will never again be a youth so vividly alive.
I'm reposting this story both as a keepsake of leaving the Onmyoji fandom and to commemorate these twelve years of student life, which I've cherished so dearly.
