Memories. Like snow that can't stay on the equator, or grains of sand that won't melt in my eyes. They hang quietly from my hair, telling of the mottled beauty of days gone by as the wind and moon pass. I've lived for more than a decade without much to show for it, yet somehow I've found the resolve to record the decades to come. Everyone who has passed through my years. Perhaps their stories have nothing to do with me. But in my story, they have become everything.
This is a hodgepodge. There are things I want to say from the heart to certain people, little opinions I have about certain things, poems I've written on the spur of the moment, and insights born of countless reflections. There are wild flights of fancy and fairy tales with altered plots. This is a sprawling story, part true and part false. Just choose to believe whichever parts you want. For now, let's call it an awkward long-form novel. After all, if... if I'm still alive, then it won't end.
And to everyone who comes here looking for their own story, I want to say this: if you see a glimpse of yourself, or someone else, in these pages, shh... don't tell anyone. Maybe this is a rare little understanding between you and me.
Lastly, updates will be slow. I hope you'll offer your guidance.
