Intimacy Paradox

As the Jin family's adopted daughter, Chi Wan was always told how lucky she was. Not only had she joined the powerful Jin family, but their only son, Jin Shiyu, treated her like a beloved little sister. But nobody knew she had a crush on Jin Shiyu. When she was nineteen, emboldened by alcohol, she cautiously leaned in to kiss him. But just before their lips touched, he pulled away. The next day, Jin Shiyu told her, "Wanwan, you're all grown up now. If there's a boy you like, you can bring him home and let your big brother meet him." Chi Wan understood what he meant. She put away the foolish, unspeakable feelings she'd harbored for him all these years and quietly fled abroad. - Everyone knew that Jin Shiyu, the new head of the Jin family, was refined, detached, and uninterested in women. Yet he cherished the adopted sister who lived under his roof, even scouring Haicheng to find her a suitable match. Everyone joked that he treated his adopted sister just like a real younger sister. Even Jin Shiyu thought so. Until one day, he saw Chi Wan kissing the blind date he'd introduced her to, right behind a door. His self-control began to crumble, inch by inch. That night, he pinned her against the door and demanded, "What you did to me back then, do you want to do it with him too?" - Jin Yushi was restrained and steady. He always thought three steps ahead, handled everything with ease, and kept the whole situation under control. He never allowed anything to happen outside his plans. But he never expected to fall into Chi Wan's hands twice. The first time, she kissed him by force. Only then did Jin Yushi realize that the girl he'd watched grow up had feelings for him that went beyond sibling affection. The second time, five years later, in that same place, he watched her kiss another man. Only then did he realize he was so jealous he was going mad. They are not blood-related, have no sibling relationship, and are not registered in the same household. The male lead simply thinks of the female lead as his little sister.
