Drip, drip.
Fine threads of rain fell from the clouds, dampening the air and soaking the earth.
A gray-haired, brown-eyed child huddled beneath a tree, staring blankly at the overcast sky without blinking, as if there were a huge hole in it.
From his perspective, it wasn't just the sky. Everything was gray.
The tender gray-green leaves, the gray-brown tree trunk, the gray-red mushrooms, and the gray-white clouds were all as if veiled in ash, impossible to see clearly.
Even the rain seemed gray.
It had been raining for a long time.
He had been staring at the sky for a long time, too.
Suddenly, a streak of gold flashed across his field of vision.
"Hey, what are you doing here?"
A blond, blue-eyed child hung upside down from a branch. His curious eyes blinked, while his palm rested on a talking hat perched on the tree. The hat spoke for him.
The gray-haired, brown-eyed child stared in amazement at the sight before him, unlike anything he had ever seen.
"Who are you?"
The blond, blue-eyed child smiled, his eyes curving.
The hat said:
"I'm Godric Gryffindor. It's a pleasure to meet you!"
It's so beautiful. The writing is superb.
Hey, how long has this been? Doesn't the author plan to update it?
When will it be updated?
