Cherished in the Palm of My Hand

-- Let me tell you a fairy tale from One Thousand and One Nights.

After years apart, neither of them had ever imagined they would meet again like this.

He Chuan looked at Yi Chenxi. She wore a backless evening gown, her figure graceful as she laughed and chatted with everyone around her.

When someone asked about their passionate love affair, she fell silent for a moment, then tilted her head and thought it over.

"He Chuan..." She suddenly remembered. With a carefree smile, she lightly pursed her red lips and said, "I remember now. He once said he'd love me forever, unless he died."

Her friend froze. "Then he..."

Yi Chenxi casually tossed out three words: "He died, yeah."

He stood behind her, crushing the glass in his hand. Shards scattered across the floor.

Her friend glanced at the man behind her and sucked in a breath, unsure whether to warn her that a certain... man seemed to have come back from the dead.

After the banquet, He Chuan pinned her against the car, his voice hoarse and restrained. "Come on, tell me. Who died?"

Yi Chenxi curled her lips and looked up at him boldly, without a hint of fear in her eyes. "You. I said you died~"

He Chuan: "..."
