(The Legend of Qin / The Nine Songs of the Moving Heavens) The Mountains and Rivers Fall Silent Forever

Ying Jinyi is the daughter of Emperor Qin Shi Huang's younger sister. As an exception, she was granted the Ying surname and the title of commandery princess, placing her rank on a par with a princess. She is the third disciple of Guigu, and the most important junior sister to Gai Nie and Wei Zhuang. She is greatly esteemed by Xun Qing, and after Han Fei's death, she inherits his Confucian teachings. Above all, she is a peerless beauty with the talent to shape the world and the power to command heaven and earth. Yet no matter how wonderful she is, the person she holds dearest does not love her. He turns a blind eye to all her efforts. He evades her earnest pleas. When she abandons everything to follow him, he says, "I am not worthy of a commandery princess." At last, she no longer has the strength to pursue him. She turns away, and ten years pass. Ten years later, her kingdom has fallen and her family is gone. She watches the young man in the army attacking the city, and her heart turns to ashes in an instant. Everything she did for him was not the deep devotion she had imagined. It was only her own wishful thinking and stubborn determination. As the cold blade passes across her throat, all she wishes is that she will never meet him again, in this life or any other. But when she opens her eyes once more, she sees him again, just as he was at seventeen. After more than a decade of love and hate, is this fate, or a curse?
