[Eastern dragons and Western dragons are different species. Xien is a Yinglong.]
As a puppet king, Old Abel had few ambitions in life.
With no real power, all he wanted was for his family of three to live in peace until the kingdom fell.
But as his son grew up, that wish went up in smoke.
The old nobility was wiped out in one fell swoop.
Neighboring lands were annexed.
The giant chieftain came to plead with him.
The dwarf chieftain begged him for shelter.
Even the proud dragons and elves bowed their heads to ask, "When would Your Highness Xien be available to receive us?"
When would he be available?
Hmph! This unfilial son doesn't even have time to come home for the family reunion festival!
One day, Old Abel lay in bed, coughing nonstop and murmuring his son's name.
Suddenly, cries rang out from beyond the palace hall. "His Highness Xien has returned!"
Seeing his son arrive, weary from the road, Old Abel nearly burst into tears.
Convinced he didn't have long to live, he hurriedly called his trusted aides closer, ready to entrust his final wishes to them.
Xien quickly helped him up. "Father, don't rush. Get well first. After a little while, your son will be able to find your spirit in the Underworld and establish a Ceylonese Underworld territory."
Old Abel: "???"
It's over. He'd better try to live a few more years and hold on until after the kingdom falls.
"One day, the flag of the Ceylon Empire will be planted in the depths of the Underworld."
"Even death cannot stop me from marching forth to claim the throne!"
"King Xien's army has always protected his people. In life and beyond, they will enjoy everlasting peace." - A Millennium of the Ceylon Empire
A few notes from the author:
1. No personal attacks. If you don't like it, just click the X and leave. This silly author is fierce! [Baring teeth]
2. I'm rather indecisive and afraid of losing myself in the comments, so except in special circumstances, I won't reply to comments. Thanks for understanding.
