[My Hero Academia] Tar Baby

Named after Toni Morrison's Tar Baby.

The "tar baby" comes from a Black folk tale: A farmer's cabbages kept getting stolen by rabbits, so he made a human-shaped doll out of tar and pine resin to trap them. When a rabbit saw the tar baby, it greeted it. The tar baby didn't answer, and the rabbit felt insulted, so it angrily kicked the doll. Its foot stuck to the tar baby. Trying to get free, the rabbit hit it with its hands, and both hands got stuck too. The harder the rabbit struggled, the more firmly it was stuck. Then a fox came along, and the rabbit shouted, "Don't throw me into the briar patch! I'm afraid of thorns." The fox didn't realize it was a trick. Wanting to torment the rabbit, it pulled it off the tar baby and tossed it into the briar patch. Rabbits aren't afraid of thorns by nature, so the rabbit escaped at once.

That's where the title comes from.

Just writing for fun, with plenty of personal headcanon. There may be plot holes and out-of-character moments.
