It's finished! Recent new research on the Hongwu era and the Jinyiwei system has just been published, so I'm starting a third round of revisions. I haven't finished reading the sources yet, so this may take quite a while.
The revisions will improve the formatting, historical research, and details, and fix bugs and typos. Once they're all done, I'll update the bonus stories for the modern-day and past-life arcs. Details on the historical research are in the setting collection, Waterlight and Mountain Scenery.

They say you rule over mountains and seas, and the mountains and seas smile in delight.
Though thousands of flowers fade in the garden, another wise ruler will come.
The land and rivers have eyes, the plants and trees have hearts. Across centuries of spring and autumn, may they prove that I have not broken my word.

Shang and Zhou arc, Passing the Torch: Everyday life as a civil servant, the founding of the Western Zhou, and the division between shamans and physicians (complete).
Spring and Autumn arc, Pursuing the Light: A travel guide to the Spring and Autumn period, the Zhou court's poetry-gathering and military supervision systems (in preparation).
Warring States arc, Ode to a Thousand Springs: A report summarizing medical advances in the pre-Qin era, in the literary style of stealing someone's love at swordpoint (in progress).
Qin and Han arc, The Celestial Offices: A Bian Que-themed story about the Qin campaign to retake Baiyue (next book).
Theme: All achievements fade in time. Only compiling medical books to benefit the people can leave a legacy that endures.
This description of the relationship between the characters took me several times to figure it out clearly. Mr. Zhou's adopted daughter Su Yunzhen was sent to the Zhu family to be his wife. Zhu and Qin Niang's child Yan Niang was named under Su Yunzhen's name. It's like the adopted daughter of the Zhou family and the concubine. It's so complicated. I watched it several times.
It looks good, and the description feels so gentle. The author must have a beautiful and gentle pure land in his heart.
Reading the comments, so many people like it, I doubt I can stand it! Because it's too profound!
Attracted by the copywriting, sprinkle flowers
Madam, although I haven't read your book yet, wow, but I really like the writing of this series, I really feel it!!
The text is very comfortable to read, and I feel that the plot should be quite interesting.
Wow, the writing is really good
Our heroine is really heartbreaking
Although the official is not a good official, we people nowadays still hope that the trouble will not harm our wives and children, alas.
I feel that the writing is quite good. Regardless of the rhythm of the article, it can also be used as health and leisure literature. Suddenly it feels a bit like Mengxi's pen talk, hahaha
