(Yang Jian) Gray Space

So it isn’t simply black or white. I was only naive enough to think so. To get drunk and stay clearheaded, to commit a crime and remain innocent: the world is nothing but shades of gray. I’ve been strong for too long, and I’m exhausted. I want to hold the one I love and sleep soundly. The storm sweeping in is fierce, yet somehow beautiful. If my heart were dead, I wouldn’t feel the pain. In this gray space, who am I? I can’t remember what happiness tastes like. There’s no way back. Who are you? Why are you crying for me? I dream of a glowing grassland. Covered in wounds, I return to a distant past. I choose not to hate. I walk away in peace. When I wake, the night is still endless. In this gray space, who am I? I can’t remember what happiness tastes like. There’s no way back. Who are you? Why are you crying for me, holding me tight as you cry? Theme:
