The Mountain and Sea Citadel

A thousand years ago, the Demon Emperor Huang Mingyu broke through the boundary gate and led a horde of demons in an invasion of the human world.

A thousand years later, the Demon Emperor was defeated, and the demons scattered throughout the human world. In the human realm, the Li Kingdom built the Tianji Palace and appointed numerous Heavenly Masters to keep the nation safe and peaceful.

In the forty-seventh year of Yuan'an, Si Chongying, a right deputy commander of the Imperial Guards, came alone to the Tianyan Bureau to visit Qian Xue, disciple of the Chief Heavenly Master. From then on, their lives became entwined.

"The human heart is very small... It can hold only one person in a lifetime."

"Qian Xue, I forgive you. Whatever your reasons, I forgive you. Just come back to me..."

This story takes place in a fictional world where humans and demons coexist. It follows the two female protagonists, Si Chongying and Qian Xue.

The story does not particularly emphasize who takes which role, but if I had to say, it leans toward Si Chongying x Qian Xue.
