"Do your best this coming year. But who knows, maybe they won't discriminate against you at that place."
After hearing people recommend it for ages, a player finally bought Persona 5 Royal when it hit its lowest price. The moment he opened the game, he transmigrated.
Looking at the reflection in the train window, a handsome boy with black hair and gray eyes, the player could only console himself: at least he'd bought P5R and not Lobotomy Corporation, which was also on his wishlist.
He hadn't actually started the game, but he knew a little about the story. For instance, the protagonist witnesses a woman being harassed by a drunk man on his way home and steps in to help her. As a result, he offends the drunk man, a politician, gets arrested, becomes a juvenile offender, and is forced to transfer schools in Tokyo.
But soon, an opportunity will awaken a strange power in him. Together with the companions he meets, he'll become a Phantom Thief of Hearts, capable of stealing people's desires.
The game only covers a year. Maybe if he sees this Phantom Thief's story through to the end, he'll have a chance to find his way home?
Just then, the player saw the name of the station where the train had stopped: Beika Town.
Wait, hold on...
He hadn't watched every episode, but he had seen Detective Conan and spent plenty of time online. The player's gaze went blank.
So... this is the friendly place where "not many people will care that you're a juvenile offender"?
In the famously talent-packed Beika Town, could he really get through a year in peace, safety, and normalcy?

The player is Ren Amamiya. His personality is an extension of how he's portrayed in the game. You can read this even if you haven't played it. All the relevant details will be explained.
The Phantom Thief may think his looks are average, but everyone else thinks he's handsome! May the whole world admire the Phantom Thieves' leader, with his resolute gaze and alluring lower lashes.
Beika Town's reputation and style will be partly based on the Hanzawa the Criminal anime. This place really is the little Gotham of the East.
I won't deliberately create original characters, especially for the Silver Bullet group (Shinichi/Conan and Akai). This isn't a chaotic, troublemaking story.
Since the game's protagonist doesn't say much, my characterization inevitably involves some personal interpretation. Please forgive me if it doesn't match your own idea of him.
I'll change some overly fan-service-heavy plot points, Confidant events, and character dialogue from the original game.
In Detective Conan, all characters who aren't married are assumed to be single. ShinRan, Heiji and Kazuha, and KaiAo will be split up, and Akai's story with Akemi and Jodie will also be adjusted.
