[The Silmarillion | Gil-galad-Centric] Accursed Spawn

What if Gil-galad were Sauron's son... Title: Accursed Spawn Author: elvntari, HerAwesomeShinyness Summary: At the most perilous moment of his life, Gil-galad is confronted with a dreadful truth: impossible, yet irrefutable. What is the secret of his origins? By a miraculous twist of fate, many secrets will come to light. Or: We have a terrible idea, and you're going to love it. There are some fun things and extra details in the comments, too. Here are a few I've translated. Before Gil-galad dies... Sauron: I'm your father. Star: What the hell. Namo: (in eloquent Elvish) In this story, little Star's father is Sauron. It all develops into Sauron bemoaning a massive mistake, Star exclaiming "What the hell," and Namo wanting to quit after hearing the news. P.S. The author leans toward Sauron using some unknown Maiar magic to create Star, but the comments have some delightfully (ridiculously) wild guesses... Theme: Sauron bemoaning a massive mistake, Star exclaiming "What the hell," and Namo wanting to quit after hearing the news.
