[My Hero Academia] I Heard You Like Me

Kohei Horikoshi, author of My Hero Academia, has insulted China and shown a disregard for humanity. Naming a perpetrator who conducted human experiments "Shiga Maruta" and giving Maruta the pronunciation "maruta" is about more than just insulting China. Shiga refers to Shiga Kiyoshi, a Japanese bacteriologist. Maruta means "logs." The name was used as a demeaning code word for the people captured by Japan's Unit 731 and subjected to live human experiments. The great Osamu Tezuka once said that manga artists must follow three principles: Don't make jokes about the victims of war or disasters. Don't show contempt for any particular profession. Don't make jokes about ethnic groups, nations, or the public. Clearly, Kohei Horikoshi, who once received the Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize, never heard those words. The victims of Unit 731 were not only Chinese. They also included Russians, Mongolians, and Koreans. There, killing people was no more remarkable than cutting down trees. Everyone sent there was just a talking log. This was one of the most insane, cruel, and twisted chapters in human history. The name maruta bears the blood, tears, and suffering of countless victims. History may turn the page, but it does not disappear. What Kohei Horikoshi did is beyond what a human being should do. I used to like this work, or I wouldn't have written so much about it. But a work can never be separated from its author, so my hero is dead. Locking the whole story is much faster than locking individual chapters, but I'm worried some younger readers might not know what happened, so here's a brief explanation. Finally, thank you for opening this little story. Maybe we'll meet again. Theme:
