"Ever since I followed the king through campaigns east and west, enduring years upon years of hardship and toil..."
Beneath the gorgeous costume of a phoenix crown and bridal robe, he is a man. He can no longer tell whether this is acting or reality, as he drifts through these turbulent times. If only someone cherished his joys and sorrows, and grieved for him...
The sunlight of the past moved more slowly
So did the carriages, horses, and mail
A lifetime was only long enough to love one person
P.S. I started writing this because I felt so sorry for Cheng Dieyi, played by my favorite actor. I'm writing this for entertainment, so please don't scrutinize it too closely if anything doesn't match historical facts. The characters' personalities are my own interpretations after watching the film, with a lot of my own feelings mixed in. Please forgive me if I get them wrong. The plot will follow the film as closely as possible, but won't be exactly the same. You can read it even if you haven't seen Farewell My Concubine.
Will there be more updates? I watched Farewell My Concubine tonight and I really felt sorry for my brother's role in Die Yi (>_<)
Hey, when will it be updated?
Come on↖(^ω^)↗
