Bow Down and Serve

Lu Ye was once the wildest wolf in the military camp stationed in the great northwest. With his defiant nature and thunderous, brutal methods, he ruled the Northwest Theater and became the enemy's nightmare. Back then, Lu Ye loved the military and his comrades. He poured his fervent devotion into the red flag, believing he would put down roots there for the rest of his life. After a major kidnapping case, Lu Ye left the Northwest Military Region, carrying his past and his wounds, and retired to Rongcheng. He lived in a rented room, unloaded cargo and hauled bricks, and wasted away in drunken excess. His days were bleak and empty. Then a woman moved in across the hall. Unafraid of his coldness, she drew near, stubbornly stepping out of the light and into the darkness. Tang Mo's friends used to tease her for giving someone the cold shoulder while she kept offering him a warm smile. Then one late night, Tang Mo had too much to drink with a group of friends and called Lu Ye to come pick her up. The man got out of the car, wrapped in a chill, and hurried over. He took her into his arms, his eyes lowered as he expertly coaxed and comforted her. The two were tangled up in the lobby. Before long, the man was frowning, looking a little impatient, yet his replies were indulgent. "Fine, it's my fault." "Yes, I deserve it." "All right, I won't go inside."
