Hunter: Inseparable

Our great captain once read a book that contained this passage:

What if shadows had lives of their own? What if your shadow wanted to take over your body and turn you into a shadow? The captain smiled beguilingly, making my little heart pound.

But then she said nothing at all, switched on every block setting, and ignored me completely.

Our protagonist, Tao Ying, seems worldly and sophisticated, but is actually an oddball because she never had the "three kinds of warmth": warmth from family, friends, and society. Once, in a moment of madness, she wrote this particularly philosophical passage:

What if shadows had lives of their own? What if your shadow wanted to take over your body and turn you into a shadow?

Little Tao Ying let the ink dry, then looked at me with disdain.

She put the paper away and carried it around until one day she forgot it in the laundry and it turned into a hard little ball of paper.

So, after being ignored and looked down on, I finally got lucky and, with a sly grin, decided to put these two together.

Heh heh heh. You two are going to be each other's shadows!

[How It All Began]

What happened to little Tao Ying before she transmigrated takes only a few chapters. It's mainly there to help everyone get to know her personality and what shaped it. To put it plainly, this is the volume where I do my best to twist Tao Ying's personality out of shape = =

What happens after she transmigrates into the Hunter world. Since it involves the plot, I'll keep it under wraps for now =3=

I prefer the black-and-white version of the cover art, but the artist insists the first one is better, so I've put both up =3=

As for why only "Shadow" remains in the title, it's because "Form and Shadow" looked strange no matter where I put it, so the artist and I cheerfully deleted those three characters...
