One day, Su Nuanyang excitedly shared some wonderful news with her best friend in the game. “Have you heard? Have you heard? Xiao Jian, the legendary pro, is making a comeback! The official Liancheng team account has already announced it. Ahhh, the legend is really coming back!”
“You’re happy he’s coming back?” The man glanced at the brand-new team uniform beside him and tightened his left hand.
“Of course! I first got into the game and started drawing comics because of him! You don’t know, he used to dominate the scene. His APM was unbeatable across the entire esports world...” Su Nuanyang kept excitedly telling him how thrilled she was, without noticing that he had stopped replying a long time ago.
APM? Hah. Xiao Jian silently closed the chat window and glanced at the trophy on the corner of the desk, now covered in dust.
Three days later, Su Nuanyang received a package from a neighboring city. The sender was the best friend from the game, who hadn’t logged in for two days. Inside were two tickets to an esports tournament and a note: “I hope I won’t disappoint you.”
