A character-setting story for the Tsukiuta anime. Characters may be out of character, some may turn dark, and the heroine and her best friend transmigrate. The main male lead is Mutsuki Hajime. No romance between male characters. Character profiles:
[Before transmigrating] Mori Rei. Female. A tomboy who is always bursting with enthusiasm and cheer, and a top student at Chinatsu High School. She worked hard to get into the A University she’d dreamed of attending. After receiving her acceptance letter, she went traveling with her first bad-influence friend. While exploring an ancient cave dwelling, they accidentally transmigrated together to the world of Tsukiuta. She has studied four languages besides Chinese and can hold everyday conversations in them.
[Host body] Hibi no Mori. Female. A popular singer and performer with an ethereal voice. She is polite to others, but somewhat distant and aloof. The most important person in her life is her younger brother, Hibi no Rin. She is currently collaborating on a CD and video recording with Yayoi Haru of Six Gravity. She has a habit of keeping a diary.
[Relationships] Hibi no Rin. The host body's younger twin brother and a male singer who debuted alongside his sister. He has always followed in her footsteps and been protected by her. He is simple-hearted and has grown more mature with age. The most important people in his life are his older sister, Hibi no Mori, and his manager, Kurotsuki.
Mo Shi. Female. Mori Rei’s best friend and bad influence, and the daughter of a wealthy family. She studied piano at home. She transmigrated with Mori Rei while exploring, but ended up somewhere else. Unable to speak the language of the Neon Country, she can only keep refusing to communicate with others. Fuzuki Kai mistakes her for a mute girl and takes her home.
Mochizuki Shi. Female. The host body of Mo Shi. She was once from an upper-class family, but after her family fell into decline, she ran away from home and came alone to Kyoto. She now wanders the streets. She is a composer with perfect pitch.
