[Journey to the West] My CP Is the Monkey King

On Flower-Fruit Mountain in the Aolai Kingdom lived a beautiful white fox who grew up as childhood sweethearts with the stone monkey in Water Curtain Cave. Later, the stone monkey left to study his arts, while the white fox cultivated on her own. Years passed before the monkey returned. After countless trials and tribulations, he was finally trapped beneath Five Elements Mountain. The white fox never forgot him, and kept him company for five hundred years. One day, he made a demand of Guanyin: “Old Sun agrees to escort that monk to fetch the scriptures, but I don’t want that nonsense about becoming a Buddha! When the time comes, you have to guarantee that Old Sun can go back to Flower-Fruit Mountain, and that the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals won’t come bothering us again.” Guanyin knew what he meant. “You cheeky monkey.” Snippets from their everyday life on the journey to fetch the scriptures, Part 1: Sha Wujing said earnestly, “Back when I was in Heaven, I’d already heard both your names. People were always talking about the Great Sage Equal to Heaven’s Havoc in Heaven. They said Senior Brother flew into a rage for the sake of a beauty, and smashed Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King Li’s pagoda just to save a beautiful white fox.” Bai Xue cackled with laughter, a little white fox laughing herself limp in Sun Wukong’s arms. Sun Wukong glanced at her with his golden eyes, his expression unreadable. “Those people love making things up about Old Sun.” The white fox wasn’t happy with that. She changed into human form, looped her arms around his neck, and clung to him in playful discontent. “You stinky monkey! You obviously cared about me and were afraid those uncouth Heavenly Soldiers and Generals would hurt me.” Sun Wukong pinched the scruff of the white fox’s neck and narrowed his eyes threateningly. “What did you just call me?” White Fox: “...Wukong.” Snippet from the journey, Part 2: Sun Wukong lifted the white fox by her soft fur, golden eyes blazing with fury. “Dare to use your bewitching tricks again, and Old Sun will scatter your three souls and seven spirits.” The white fox wrapped her paws around his face and acted coy. “Don’t be so fierce. I’m a fox, after all. Bewitching people is all I know how to do.” Couple: Domineering Handsome Monkey King X Innocent, Naive White Fox Reader’s guide: 1. The Monkey King likes the heroine from the start. They’re childhood sweethearts. The writing is light and fluffy, a sweet, indulgent fantasy, so please don’t nitpick the lore. 2. There will be out-of-character moments, I’m not kidding. Read on if you don’t mind. 3. Please don’t flame my writing. Thank you. 4. Hope you enjoy reading. Theme:
