His Majesty Is Always Getting Face-Slapped

My new book, After Being Offered to a High Official, is now underway. The states of Chu and Wei plan to join forces to conquer Yan. To show their friendship, they want to pair up Princess Chu Yao of Zhenyue and Wei Qi, the heir apparent, who were both held as hostages in Great Yan. Princess Chu Yao: Make me marry that bastard? In your dreams! Heir apparent Wei Qi: Make me marry that shrew? No way! Their elders: Why not? Chu Yao: He secretly watched me pee five years ago! Wei Qi: She falsely accused me of secretly watching her pee five years ago! Their elders hear this and say: Perfect! Get married! On their wedding night, the two forced together as a couple start arguing again. They draw a long line across the bedroom and trade threats: Whoever crosses it first is a dog! One year later, Wei Qi: Woof, woof. One-line summary: The emperor keeps getting face-slapped. First on the left cheek, then on the right. [Over-the-top Mary Sue story. The female lead has an extremely powerful golden finger. Because she went through something cruel and terrifying as a child, she has a ruthless and vicious side to her personality. She is not the traditional kindhearted heroine, so please don't read if that's not your thing.] A few things to know: 1. Happy ending. The male lead will become emperor. 2. The setting is fictional, and very loosely based on anything real. No nitpicking over historical accuracy, please, and no checking the rankings. 3. If you drop the story, no need to tell me. Just click the X. Theme: Lasting love needs more than love itself. It also needs companionship and support.
